We, The Pencil Project, strive to create a sense of unity and understanding, encouraging others to join us in our efforts to make our community, and the world a better place. Together, we can make a difference and create a brighter future for all.
Initiative
The Pencil Project attempts to interest participants to share personal success stories and how they have made Grey and Bruce Counties their home. All stories collected will have the option to be shared to a standard website; as well, selected stories will be published in book form. Our goal will also be to provide each library in Grey and Bruce counties with a copy of the book for circulation.
All stories are sought, but not limited by culture, age, or settlement history. Time is no barrier as stories can be from long ago. It is hoped that themes will emerge in the stories presented which will serve to emphasise the qualities of the residents of Grey and Bruce. It is also anticipated that the value of each person’s contribution to the community will be highlighted.
